Many of you are now aware of Joe’s recent cancer diagnosis. When he told me about it, we had a series of long discussions and mutually agreed it would be best for all concerned to transfer ownership of the company to me and dissolve our partnership. We’ve begun that process in earnest now and hope to complete it as soon as possible. Here’s what it means for all of you.

First, things will continue pretty much as normal. The blog, The Missing Conversation and other projects we’ve committed to should not be affected at all. As with any transition like this, there are bound to be a few bumps and missteps along the road, but I sincerely hope they will be few in number. Joe handled the back stage technical stuff that made everything work and look good. His expertise in these areas will have to be replaced and we’re in the process of doing that.

I’m the idea and creative guy. My role has been to create the work, write the blog, handle the marketing of the books and generally be the voice of the company. I still get to do all that and more as the sole owner. I have nothing to hide and, I’ll admit, it’s kind of scary but in a good way.

Second, you will notice some minor changes in the coming weeks/months. I’m keeping the name OST Publications, but will drop the Inc. part. The new company will simply be called OST Publications. There will be be a change of address as things will be based here in Indiana instead of Pennsylvania.

Joe has been a great partner, friend and mentor and our friendship means a great deal to me. He needs to focus on his health, getting better and spending precious time with his family. So I’ll be moving forward and hope you’ll continue the journey with me. As things develop I’ll keep you posted.

Regards,
Mike
