Beginning of the Indianan and Ohio Branch at Valley Jct., Ohio

Here is the beginning of the prototype I&O branch at Valley Junction, Ohio. Notice anything unusual? I’ll give a hint: it has nothing to do with the weathering of this track. Think about it over the holiday, and I’ll have more photos and an explanation next week. Happy Thanksgiving!

Regards,

Mike

    Mike,

Good question..not sure. However, the kinked or lack of curve in the sectional rail makes for a n interesting photo. Not a very smooth flowing curve that is for sure!

    Hi Matt,
Agreed. It is kinked and has seen better days. That’s not what I was referring to. Stay tuned, the answer comes on Wed.

    Thanks for writing in.

    Hard one.
I have to say that the track rail does not look like a regular flat-bottom profile, It almost looks like bull-head. However I don’t really believe that – it would be different if I was there instead of looking at a photo!

Merry Christmas and Happy New year to you and Joe, Mike.

    Pete.
